AT&T has been retiring parts of its traditional landline network in Michigan, one local area at a time. There is no single date when service will end statewide, so the timing depends on where you live. When a retirement would permanently end telephone service, AT&T must notify affected customers and obtain FCC authorization. Customers may be asked to switch to fiber, wireless, or another available phone service. Community Phone doesn’t use copper wire or internet, so none of this affects your service.

The annual version of every plan includes one month free. Your rate is covered by our Three-Year Price Lock, and there’s no contract, so you can cancel anytime. Traditional providers lock you into long contracts and nickel-and-dime you with hidden fees. We don’t do either.

Yes, you can keep your number and area code if you want to. We have customers across 12 of Michigan’s 13 area codes. If you decide to keep your number, we’ll help you transfer it over. We’ll call your phone company for you if we can. If your carrier needs to get the transfer PIN directly from you, keep your last phone bill handy and we’ll walk you through the call.
