Before Community Phone
Awake Us Now was using a local cable provider for phone service.
Inflexible Features
During the pandemic, everyone in the parish had gone remote. Their basic cable provider could not offer any features to route calls to pastors. That did not work given that they were all working from home on their personal cell phones, not sitting in an office.

When callers reach the main business number, they hear a professionally recorded greeting welcoming them to the parish and asking them to press different numbers to connect to the pastors, care ministers, or office manager. Caller ID Masking
The pastors speak to parishioners using their personal cell phones, but they don’t want to share their personal cell phone numbers. Call Forwarding
When church calls ring on the pastors’ personal cell phones, the calls looks different from normal cell phone calls. That way the pastors can differentiate between church calls and personal calls. Learn more about call forwarding
Custom Recordings
When callers press 7, they can hear a recording of that week’s sermon and bible class with Pastor Dodge. Ann, Awake Us Now’s business manager, changes those recordings weekly using her Community Phone dashboard.
